The Kit Reid Orchestra is ideal for large groups where the “big band” sound is desired. The orchestra is composed of from 12 to 18 pieces, depending upon the client’s requirement.
Vocalists can be provided – male, female or both. Kit normally fronts the band and solos on trumpet, much like the leaders in the golden age of swing. The orchestra has performed at the Galveston Mardi Gras, Miller Outdoor Theater, Jones Hall, The Dorothy Mitchell Pavillion and in most major hotel ballrooms in the Houston area.
